Reflective writing for product

In yesterday’s workshop time, I chose the three words ‘spin’, ‘twist’, and ‘bend’. I started making a tiny scale swing chair, which was inspired by the word ‘bend’. As I bent the roll of the paper rod to make the structure of the bed, then I used knitting thread for the soft part to be the body of the bed. Because I suddenly remembered the inner structure of the sofa, there are many elastic lines across the bottom of the chair, for sustaining the weight of the cushion. So I made a similar base structure for the swing bed, by using thread. For the second term making of the word ‘bend’, I made a bigger one. And using wires instead of thread.

The second word I chose was ‘twist’. At that time, I was confused about what to do with the cylinder, it was just normal to draw something on it or cut some shape on it. Therefore I tore off the first layer of the cylinder because I saw that was a very thick cylinder with many layers of paper, so I just want to know what can I see if I tear up the few layers of it. I put the twisting shape of the paper layer onto the cylinder, it looked like a human shape from some specific perspective. So I stuck two strings on the head and there were arms and legs on two sides, just like a human. For the second term of making, I was inspired by the shape of the cylinder and the wire material. Then I used paper and twisted the two sides, also I did the same thing to the wire. I overlap the wire onto paper and tie up the two sides using thread, it looked like a candy shape handbag. I like it because it looked so lovely.

The third word I chose was ‘spin’. But I really not knowing what to do about this, I thought I had squeezed the paper, make a sandglass shape and then turn it into a sofa shape. I thought this sofa model doesn’t relate to the word ‘spin’. And for the second term making, I don’t have enough time to make a further model of this word.
